Parent-teacher groups are unsung heroes of schools - The Sunday Times - 24 February 2025
Some "quotes" and comments from Trudy

The LFA have donated £22,000 to the school since October 2021, contributing to over 50 school items and activities.

"They bring parents together, get parents into schools, and may even lead to increased attendance" - Attendance has indeed increased for those able to use the Lego Therapy kits bought by donations from the LFA.

Imagine my delight when we received a request to 'fund a trip for young carers across years 7-10 to have a fun day out' in 2024 and then another in 2025. Not something that the school budget would allow for.

"National Parent Survey poll of over 5,000 parents, suggests that 11 million parents would like to contribute more" - Email the LFA and let Trudy know if you'd like to help. There are opportunities for everyone to get involved, whatever skills they have to offer, you don't even have to leave your home if you fancy baking some cakes, sewing some crafts, or managing our social platforms. If you like to get out of the house, there's no pressure to do anything other than pour a few teas and coffees, or if you like to get amongst the crowd, then selling raffle tickets is always a great help.

The LFA may not be raising funds to fight poverty, but we're helping out more students in need than you could ever imagine.
