LFA Terms of Reference 2024
LFA Secretary
- Raise Temporary Event Notices (TEN) on behalf of the LFA with the local authority. This can be delegated to any subcommittee organising an agreed event on behalf of the LFA.
- Deal with correspondence.
- Call meetings, giving plenty of notice.
- Keep a record of attendance at meetings.
- Keep an up-to-date register of all committee members and make sure it complies with any data protection requirements.
- Take notes during meetings.
- Write up the minutes of meetings.
- Distribute minutes to all Committee members.
- Make meeting and events arrangements. This can also be delegated to any subcommittee organising an agreed event on behalf of the LFA.
- Co-sign cheques as required.
- Write the Annual Report with the Chair.
Estimated annual hours commitment
- Manage and facilitate committee meetings: 2hrs per meeting x 6 meetings per year = 12 hrs
- Committee meeting minutes, actions log and action resolution: 3hrs per meeting x 6 meetings per year = 18hrs
- TEN (alcohol licence) applications: 30 mins per event x 7 events (2023/24) = 4 hrs
